RHT G.R.A.C.E. Institute (RGI) Forum 2021

TIME: 26 Nov 2021 - 10am - 4pm
POSTED ON: Monday 15 Nov 2021 RHT G.R.A.C.E. Institute

Sustainability – What used to be a trendy buzzword once bandied about by marketing departments and environmental groups has become a ubiquitous topic of discussion from student dorm rooms to corporate boardrooms, from basements to parliaments.

As countries around the world are beginning to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, global leaders from around the world gathered in Glasgow, Scotland for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26). The conference seeks to have countries review and renew their commitments to ending their contributions to climate change. The goals of COP26 are:

1. Mitigation – Secure global net zero (emissions) by mid-century and limit any global warming to within 1.5 °C
2. Adaptation – Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats
3. Finance – Mobilise finance
4. Collaboration – Working together to deliver

Against this backdrop, the RGI Forum will address the four COP26 goals (i.e. Mitigation, Adaptation, Finance, and Collaboration) from the perspective of the GRACE principles, specifically Governance, Risk, Compliance and Ethics.

Join us for feedback from attendees of the COP26 Conference, to provide hot-off-the-press views of the conference talks, as well as a series of panel discussions on Governance, Risk, Compliance and Ethical issues relating to sustainability.
