CEO of RHT Fintech Holdings, Jayaprakash Jagateesan shares that it is still a long way before whistleblowers can truly feel protected from victimisation in the organization but it is still a step towards the right direction to have the new law in place. He suggested that whistleblowing policies can be implemented by an independent third party with the use of technology to further assure whistleblowers that this can be handled more professionally. It is important for companies to welcome whistleblowing as a channel to safeguard good corporate governance and to discover the issue in its early stage before it is too late.
